The Islamic Museum is the most recent addition to the Municipal Museum of Tavira, opened in February 2012.
This nucleus houses a vast and diversified archaeological collection from the Islamic period, resulting from interventions carried out in various places (Convento da Graça, Palácio da Galeria, Pensão Netos…).
The museum includes a permanent exhibition, "Tavira Islâmica", opened on February 23, 2012, and several temporary exhibitions.
